Department of Computer Science, University of Wah, organized TechOn’25, a two-day national event held on 02-03 June 2025. Spearheaded by Ms. Rida Zahra and Ms. Isra Naz, lecturers, Department of Computer Science, the event attracted over 250 students from prominent institutions, including Air University, Islamabad; UET, Taxila; CUST, Islamabad; COMSATS University, Wah campus; Haripur University; University of Wah; and Wah Engineering College.
The event featured a series of engaging competitions designed to challenge and inspire participants. In the Speed Programming module, Mr. Harris and his team secured first place, while Ms. Farzanna and Ms. Sheher Bano were the runners-up. The Cinematic Videography competition, based on the theme “Planet on Pause” in line with SDG 7, was won by Mr. Abdullah, with Mr. Taha as the runner-up. The Project Exhibition served as a platform for showcasing innovative student projects, with GhostWire winning the top prize and SynFlood finishing as runner-up. The fun-filled Escape Room module tested problem-solving skills through technical riddles, where Ms. Salwa and the team emerged victorious.
Mr. Jawad (Manager, Central Asian Cellular Forum) and Mr. Aamir Zaman (Manager, Startup Coworks) attended the event and appreciated the participants’ talent and creativity. The event concluded with a grand closing ceremony, where winners were awarded cash prizes and shields. TechOn’25 proved to be a vibrant celebration of innovation, collaboration, and technological excellence.
