Current era has witnessed a massive application of scientific knowledge that erupted in the last two centuries. Our lives have been irreversibly influenced by the technological advancements and the future shall offer even greater excitements. No country can afford to be oblivious of the significance of education. University education is an illuminating and enlightening experience that will distinguish between progressive and backward economies in years ahead. University education develops reasoning and rational decision making through a well-structured academic and extra curricular program.

It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to see the level of commitment the University of Wah has in providing the value based integrated education to the students. The University develops socially responsible generation of professionals, researchers and leaders for the nation and instills in them the distinct Islamic principles, ethics and moral standards. The University offers diverse programs to cater for the needs of today’s rapidly changing environment. The curriculum is constantly improved to produce highly accomplished, skilled and employable graduates.

Research is the key to university education. However, development and advancement of the Research culture in a university is a tedious task requiring excellent quality of education, strong university-industry linkages, funding and indeed the motivated human resource. University of Wah is focusing on these aspects. Launch of four research journals pertaining to the disciplines of Management Sciences, Science & Technology, Social Sciences & Humanities and Computer Science is a step in the right direction. Due to its co-location with the Pakistan Ordnance Factories and the neighboring industrial hub, the University has a distinct advantage. Research and development infrastructure, precision laboratories and state of the art production units at POFs are at the disposal of the University for practical demonstration, sequel to the theoretical classroom teaching.
