Department of Economics-UW organized a comprehensive two-day workshop on SPSS and EVIEWS from 26-28 August 2024. The workshop aimed to provide hands-on training in essential software tools for data analysis and statistical modeling to senior students pursuing their BS and Ph.D. degrees in Economics. Dr. Asma Arif, Chairperson Economics Department, led the workshop, and Mr. Abdul Mansoor, a Lecturer in Economics, was the resource person. Both experts guided the participants through the intricacies of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and EVIEWS, software widely utilized in economics. Over the two days, students actively participated in practical sessions, gaining hands-on experience in data input, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation using these powerful tools. The workshop enhanced their technical skills and provided a solid foundation for their academic and research endeavors. In the end, certificates were distributed among the participants, acknowledging their dedication and successful completion of the training.
