The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) reaccreditation team visited the Departments of Civil and Mechatronics Engineering at Wah Engineering College (WEC) on 16 and 17 May 2025 as part of the Council's regular quality assurance process to ensure academic excellence across engineering institutions. The visit was led by Dr. Ahmed Bilal and Dr. Shahab Khushnood, Chairpersons of Civil and Mechatronics Engineering, respectively. Both departments presented comprehensive presentations covering academic programs, curriculum design, faculty achievements, and student outcomes.
The PEC Engineering Evaluation Visitors (PEVs) conducted detailed tours of departmental laboratories, observed practical demonstrations, and assessed the academic infrastructure. They expressed appreciation for the high standards of teaching, well-equipped laboratories, and the overall academic environment. In support of the reaccreditation process, departments submitted extensive documentation, demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous improvement and educational excellence. The visiting team expressed satisfaction with the quality of education being imparted in both programs.
The reaccreditation process is currently ongoing, with the final decision from PEC awaited. This visit reaffirms the department's dedication to maintaining national accreditation standards and delivering quality engineering education in Pakistan.
