Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, attended the Winter Family Festival celebrating International Day for Persons with Disabilities as a Chief Guest held at POF Guest House, Wah Cantt, on 03 December 2023. The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) advocates for disability rights and welfare and raises awareness of the challenges faced by these individuals in different aspects of life. Exceptional performances and mesmerizing handicrafts made by children highlighted the event’s glory. This event demonstrated that children with special skills are empowered; they can perform as well as any other child. VC-UW expressed solidarity with individuals with unique abilities. The ultimate objective of this event was to sensitize all community members and think of ways to mainstream differently-abled people in society.
