Department of Islamic and Pakistan Studies-UW arranged a “Hajj Training Program” on 18 May 2023. It was organized free of cost for the general public. This comprehensive training program aimed to educate and equip pilgrims with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform Hajj rituals safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Islamic teachings. Mr. Shifa Ullah, a Hajj Trainer, explained the importance and significance of Hajj in Islam and its spiritual and psychological aspects. Further, Mr. Maulana Maqsood Ayub, a renowned scholar, explained fiqhi problems regarding Hajj. An informative Q&A session was held at the end. Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences presented the souvenirs to the guests. Dr. Mussarrat Malik, Chairperson, Department of Islamic and Pakistan Studies expressed her gratitude to all the participants. More than fifty persons participated in the training. All participants were gifted with an informative book on Hajj.
