A career counseling and laboratory visit session was organized for the students of Pakistan Ordnance Factories Institute of Technology (POFIT) at Wah Engineering College (WEC). The event took place at the Civil Engineering Department’s computer laboratory and brought together diploma students from Civil, Chemical, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
The program commenced with a career counseling session conducted by Mr. Muhammad Haroon, Deputy Director of Admissions, WEC, focusing on academic progression, professional growth, and aligning technical education with the current needs of the industry. Students received valuable guidance on future career opportunities and pathways to enhance their professional skills.
Following the counseling session, students were taken on a guided tour of the laboratory facilities across the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineering Departments. During the visit, they observed advanced laboratory equipment, explored practical applications of their studies, and engaged with faculty members to deepen their understanding of engineering concepts. The event was coordinated by Mr. Salman Ahmed, focal person from the Civil Engineering Department, ensuring smooth organization and maximum benefit for the participating students.
This initiative shows the WEC’s commitment to providing students with both academic guidance and hands-on exposure to practical engineering applications, preparing them to meet industry challenges with confidence.
