Department of Biosciences organized an informative outreach visit to Fazaia Degree College MRF Kamra on 11 February 2026, to raise awareness among students about the diverse academic and professional opportunities available in the field of Biosciences. The visiting delegation comprised Prof. Dr. Shumaila Naz, Prof. Dr. Syed Waqas Hassan, and Dr. Farhat Yasmeen, who engaged with students in an interactive and informative session. The faculty members provided comprehensive guidance on academic pathways, emerging disciplines, and evolving career prospects in biosciences.
During the session, the speakers emphasized the growing importance of biological sciences in key sectors, including healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, environmental sciences, and research. Students were encouraged to explore modern scientific advancements and consider biosciences as a dynamic and impactful career choice.
The team highlighted various undergraduate and postgraduate programs available in the discipline and elaborated on future specialization areas such as molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, bioinformatics, and nanobiotechnology. Additionally, students were informed about scholarship opportunities, research prospects, and the increasing national and international demand for qualified bioscience professionals.
