Department of English, University of Wah, organized a thought-provoking seminar titled "Tribute to the Tale Tellers." on 26 May 2025, celebrating the literary achievements of distinguished authors Ms. Sammar Shabir and Mr. Nauman Afzal. Dr. Asim Karim, Dean, Social Sciences, graced the event, whose insightful remarks set the tone for an intellectually enriching afternoon. Ms. Aiman Rehman, lecturer, Department of English, was the organizer.
Ms. Sammar Shabir, an educator and writer with more than six years of experience, shared her insights into her literary journey. She captivated the audience with a preview of her upcoming novel, "The Barred Window," scheduled for international launches in Dubai (October 2025), Karachi (December 2025), and London (February 2026). Mr. Nauman Afzal, a telecom engineer- turned-writer, delighted attendees by reading excerpts from his acclaimed book "I’ll Find My Way" (Oxford University Press), along with selections from his popular blog that celebrates the nuances of life and literature. The event featured engaging discussions and celebrated the enduring power of storytelling. The department thanks all attendees and looks forward to future literary events.
