YPDC University of Wah Chapter, in collaboration with YPDC University of Lahore (UOL), organized the two-day National Young Policy Leader Summit 1.0 from 22-23 May 2025. This landmark event served as a vibrant platform for youth engagement, bringing together aspiring young leaders, policymakers, and professionals from various fields to deliberate on key policy issues shaping the future of Pakistan.
The summit featured notable guests, including Mr. Mustafa Tariq from the Ministry of Planning; Mr. Waris Hameed, Focal Person YPDC UOL; Ms. Alaiza Farid, President YPDC UOL; and Ms. Azka Tahir, former President YPDC UOL. Barrister Aqeel Malik graced the event as the Chief Guest. In a gesture of appreciation, Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, presented a commemorative shield to Barrister Malik.
The summit drew active participation from multiple YPDC chapters, including YPDC UOL, YPDC-University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, YPDC HITEC, Taxila, and academic institutions such as FAST University and Sir Syed College Campus 9, creating a diverse and inclusive environment for dialogue and collaboration.
The opening session was led by Ms. Tehreem Maqsood, who introduced her team and delivered impactful opening remarks, setting a dynamic tone for the proceedings. The summit concluded with a heartfelt address by Engineer Waqas Javed, Focal Person, YPDC UW Chapter, who commended the efforts of the organizing team, speakers, and all participants. The National Young Policy Leader Summit 1.0 marked a significant step in youth-led policy discourse, emphasizing collaboration, leadership, and innovation in shaping national progress.
