

University of Wah FM 101.8 concluded its Ramadan Special Transmissions 2025, a dedicated series under the UW Podcast – Ramadan Special Series, aimed at promoting spiritual growth, Islamic education, and community awareness throughout the holy month. The month-long transmission featured a diverse lineup of distinguished Islamic scholars who delivered thought- provoking sessions on various religious and contemporary topics. The series commenced with an enlightening address by Prof. Dr. Ziaullah Rehmani, Regional Adviser for Islamic Law, who highlighted the Fazail-e- Ramadan (Virtues of Ramadan) and elaborated on the responsibilities of Muslims during this sacred time.
Ms. Farhat Anwar, a respected Islamic scholar from Wah Cantt, led the Dars-e-Quran sessions throughout the month, offering deep reflections and spiritual insights into selected Quranic verses. Her sessions were lauded for their depth and clarity. In continuation of the Quranic discussions, Dr. Saima, Head of the Al-Huda Quran Section, Wah Cantt, engaged listeners with her insightful talks on Quranic translations and the significant contributions of Muslim scientists, drawing connections between scientific progress and Islamic values. Dr. Noor Fatima, Assistant Professor, University of Lahore, addressed the important theme of “Children and Ramadan,” emphasizing the need to inculcate Islamic values and a sense of moral responsibility in the younger generation.
Adding further depth to the transmission, Prof. Dr. Hassnain, University of Lahore, conducted profound sessions on Tazkiyah (spiritual purification) and provided a comprehensive introduction to the true essence and purpose of Ramadan. Mr. Umar Hayat Khan, Station Manager, UW FM 101.8, hosted and conducted the entire Ramadan Special Transmission series, ensuring the program’s quality and outreach.
