University of Wah (UW), to foster innovation and bridge academia and industry, partnered with Startup Coworkers (Pvt.) Limited, KSA, Rawalpindi, to transform students' final-year projects into startups and commercialize research. In a virtual meeting on 25 February 2025, Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director-ORIC, and Prof. Dr. Wazir Zada Khan, Dean, Faculty of Computer Science, discussed collaboration opportunities with Mr. Wajahat Raja, CEO of Startup Coworkers. ORIC’s Business Incubation Center will support students in their entrepreneurial ventures, while Startup Coworkers will provide industry exposure and mentorship.
Mr. Wajahat Raja praised UW students for their market-ready skills and emphasized the partnership’s potential for national and international networking. The team will further discuss financial, operational details and submit a plan for the Vice Chancellor's approval, to smoothly running of collaborative activities.
