A delegation of students from the University of Wah, led by Prof. Amjad Hassan, Director, ORIC, and accompanied by Dr. Hafiz Shoaib, Assistant Professor, Department of Islamic Studies, actively participated in the National Readers Conference (NRC) organized by the Read Pakistan Organization on 24 January 2025, in Islamabad. The event brought together scholars and readers to celebrate and promote reading.
A notable highlight of the event was the recognition of ten University of Wah students for their exceptional performance in the Book Reading Competition. These students were awarded certificates and shields for their commitment to fostering a culture of reading, with the guidance from Ms. Riffat Naseer, the university's focal person for The Read Pakistan initiative.
Ms. Syeda Fatima Gillani, CEO of Read Pakistan, praised the students for their dedication and expressed interest in further collaborations to promote literacy and intellectual growth. To mark the strengthening of this partnership, Prof. Amjad Hassan presented Ms. Syeda Fatima with a signed copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), renewing the university's commitment to fostering literacy. The event underscored the shared commitment between the University of Wah and the Read Pakistan Organization to advance a vibrant reading culture and academic excellence.
