Departments of Electrical and Mechatronics Engineering at Wah Engineering College (WEC), University of Wah in collaboration with the IEEE-WEC Student Chapter, organized "Technofest: Inspiring Future Engineers" on 09-10 December 2024 at Sir Syed College, Wah Cantt. The event, aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education, aimed to inspire students with insights into engineering fields and bridged theoretical knowledge and practical exposure.
Ms. Balquees Begum, Lecturer, and Mr. Sameer Shahid, a student from Electrical Engineering, along with Mr. Qasim Manan, Lecturer from Mechatronics Engineering, delivered insightful talks on career prospects in these fields. On the second day, students from Sir Syed College also participated in hands-on learning activities at WEC campus, including Designing Logic Gate Circuits, Working with Transformers and AC/DC Machines, and building Robots using LEGO Kits.
These activities enhanced students' practical skills and creativity under expert guidance, providing an immersive experience in modern engineering practices. Dr. Sohaira Ahmad, Chairperson of the Electrical and Mechatronics Engineering departments, presented a souvenir to Ms. Noor-us-Sabah, Principal, Sir Syed College, in recognition of her support.
